purchase, download, install, or use the Session Clips desktop application.

This Privacy Policy applies to two separate contexts:

Website use. This includes when you visit sessionclips.com, submit a contact form, join a waitlist or mailing list, request support, or purchase a license.

App use. This includes when you install and use the Session Clips desktop application.

Because Session Clips is designed as a local-first desktop app, the type of data we receive through the website is different from the data created and stored inside the app.

2. Information We Collect

We collect limited information necessary to operate our business and support customers.

Information you provide directly

Email address you provide when purchasing a license, contacting support, signing up for updates, or communicating with us.
Any information you choose to include in support emails, contact forms, or customer-service requests.

Transaction information

Purchase-related information such as billing email, order status, license-related details, and limited payment metadata provided by our payment processor or merchant tools.
Payments are processed by third-party providers such as Stripe.com. We DO NOT store your payment card number.

3. Information Created in the App

The Session Clips desktop application allows users to create and store content locally on their own computer, including screenshots, captured images, session notes, tags, journal entries, reflections, and other user-created trading-journal content.

This content is stored locally on the user’s device as part of the app’s normal functionality.

Session Clips, as the website operator and software provider, does not receive, access, collect, or store this locally created app content through the ordinary use of the app. We do not provide cloud sync or remote storage for this content at this time.

Session Clips does not connect to brokers, exchanges, or trading platforms. The app does not request, collect, store, or use broker, exchange, or trading-platform credentials.

4. How We Use Information

We use the limited information we collect to:

process purchases and deliver licenses
communicate about orders, licenses, updates, and support
maintain and improve our website, checkout flow, and product experience
prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents
comply with legal, accounting, and tax obligations
